5 Best Habits That Can Boost Your Confidence

This is my first blog on my website. I am excited about it. And today I am here to share some facts about how to build confident and charismatic personality. There are so many people out there who think that building confidence is easy. Like developing any other skill. But that's not true. It takes conscious and unconscious efforts to build confidence in oneself. In this series of building self-confidence, I'm going to share different ways and means of staying optimistic, bold, and confident.

Before we start, tell me according to you, who is the most confident person in the world? Well! It is impossible to take just one name, isn’t it?

Some days you are confident, some days you are not. Confidence building is a dynamic process. You are not going to change everything all at once, so don’t be afraid to start small. So let's begin with some baby steps that will give you some insights on how to build confidence and self-esteem. You need to develop some habits to boost your confidence. Let’s learn about habits to build self-confidence.

 

Wake up early

The morning time is amazingly therapeutic. Spend some time with yourself, Go for a walk, Do some stretching. Practice Yoga and Pranayama. Initially start with just 15 minutes, so that you don't have much pressure on your mind to do a lot of things. Trick your mind and say things like' I will do it only for 15 minutes. It's not a big deal. I'm just going for a stroll, it’s not going to be a strenuous workout.’ When you have less stress about the morning routine, you will start liking the new regime. Don't worry too much about the time of the activity. Whatever time you wake-up, that's fine, just keep following that every day.

Take a Hot Shower

How to build confidence by taking a hot shower every day? Well! You may find this tip quite basic. But let me tell you, this is the key, to feel energetic and active. A hot running shower in, early morning after a nice workout is magical. It opens all your pores and makes you feel fresh and ready for the day. It also has numerous health benefits. 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness' we learned in school, however few people genuinely practice. When you make this a habit, you will see astounding results in the way you feel all day.

 

 

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Eating healthy we all know about it, however, the interpretations of healthy food vary from person to person. Also, certain habits die hard. From childhood days, I was habitual to   drink tea along with milk. I never found anything unhealthy about it. Some years ago I had joined a health camp, where I was told about the harmful effects on the body when we mix milk in tea. I realized I was making a big mistake drinking tea with milk and I decided to shift to black tea and green tea. I could see fantastic results after a few months. I lost some pounds, which was a blessing. I also felt lighter and less irritable. I have begun to believe that whatever habits we have formed, should be questioned. If you get positive answers and a good vibe then you can continue, what you are doing. And if you feel the need to change something, you can always give it a shot.

 

Express Gratitude

'Gratitude is the right Attitude'. The first thing that we need to cultivate in our attitude is to be ready to express gratitude all the time. There are innumerable blessings around you that you are rewarded with. Do you find time during the day, saying thank you for all the good things around you? Starting from the time you wake up. Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev in his sessions, says the first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up, Thank God that you are alive. Because thousands didn't see the light of the day. There are many ways to reveal gratitude, but moreover, it is all about having the right intent and a clear conscience. I bet you will have an endless list to feel grateful for all the good things that you are enjoying around you. Expressing Gratitude and Feeling Grateful about all the blessings are the best habits to build self-confidence.

 

Monitor your Self-talk all Day

I’m often asked, how to build confident and positive personality and evade negativity? What you tell yourself all the time reflects in your overall personality. So it's a good idea to keep track of this recording that keeps playing in our minds. Even if you are the most positive being on the planet you still are faced with situations that are beyond your control. I'm not saying it is criminal to be negative, however, you must know how you are feeling and what is playing in your mind. When you get into the habit of addressing issues and acknowledging them, your self-esteem grows and you find yourself confident and capable.
